This guide will give you the tools to get started on your AI journey with Credal. While we have a host of advanced features that we hope you will love, this guide aims to set you up to send your first query.

If you are not familiar with large language models (LLMs), start by reading the LLM primer. Otherwise, read on to find out more about Credal.

Using Credal

Navigate to the Credal homepage to get started in a few basic steps.

1. Ask Questions

Now you’re ready to ask your questions. Simply type your query in the chat input located at the bottom of the screen to get started.

2. Using Your Company Knowledge

A key feature of Credal is that you can ask the AI questions about your company’s data, in addition to asking about the AI model’s general knowledge base.

You can choose what data you want to use before you ask your question or Credal can help you find the right data. You’ll notice some additional options:

i. Attach

By selecting “Attach,” you can specify documents or data sources you want the AI to use when answering your questions. This feature is particularly useful if you want the AI to summarize, answer questions about, or extract information from a specific document. For example, if you want the AI to answer questions about your company’s last annual report, you could select that document here. You can do this in two ways:

1. Use the search bar to choose previously imported documents;
2. Paste a URL (e.g. to a Google Doc or Word Document) to sync a new source, and click “Sync this URL” to bring it into Credal

ii. Sources

When you choose “Sources,” Credal will actively scan your organization’s data for sources relevant to your question. This data is then used by the AI to provide you with an informed answer.
